Buckingham Browne & Nichols offensive lineman Zak Zinter announced his commitment to the Wolverines with a tweet Thursday afternoon. McCarthy Zinter, listed at 6-6, 300 pounds by 247Sports, becomes Michigan’s highest-rated commitment in the 2020 class. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Zinter is a 4-star recruit and the No. 217 overall prospect. He reportedly held offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State, among others. Zinter is the second offensive lineman to commit to Michigan this recruiting cycle, joining Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy offensive guard Micah Mazzccua.
