Picture: GOOGLE MAPS GOOGLE MAPS A serious crash has closed the A12 in both directions between Wangford and Wrentham. A woman has been airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, after a car crash that closed the A12 this evening. Police advise that the road will remain closed in both directions at Frostenden for much of the rest of the evening and so drivers are advised to avoid the area. The incident, which involved two vehicles, happened around 6pm this evening as all three emergency services were called to the A12 junction with Gypsy Lane in between Wangford and Wrentham. Suffolk Fire Service used cutting equipment to remove the woman from her car. The driver of the other vehicle is described as walking wounded. No-one else was injured in the collision.
