The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash at around 6:05 a.m. as light rain fell. The big rig had jackknifed with the Camaro overturning at some point and both ending up on the on-ramp embankment, said Officer Weston Haver, a CHP spokesman. The truck driver was taken to the hospital; he did not appear to have any major injuries, Haver said. The Camaro driver had minor injuries. There was no immediate information about what exactly happened, but Haver said when rainfall hits the area, wet conditions and speeding drivers often cause the majority of crashes.
