The FBI sought public help Thursday to identify a masked robber who held up a College Area bank Wednesday. The heist occurred about 3:15 p.m. at the Citibank on the corner of El Cajon Boulevard and 60th Street, just west of College Avenue and the bustling Campus Plaza shopping center, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said Wednesday. Authorities described the robber as a roughly 5 foot 6 inch, heavyset Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s. He wore sunglasses and an American flag bandanna to cover his face. He was dressed in a black hoodie, gray sweatpants, athletic shoes and gloves. Without ever displaying a weapon or threatening to use one, the suspect approached a teller, demanded cash and was given an undisclosed sum, according to the police and FBI. He was last seen running north on 60th Street, away from El Cajon Boulevard, into a residential neighborhood.
