The plane is currently undergoing intensive testing and evaluation by both its Seattle-based manufacturer and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in the wake of two similar crashes - one in Ethiopia in March, the other in Indonesia last October - which claimed hundreds of lives. The father of 8-month-old King Jay Davila did not appear in court as expected Wednesday as his court-appointed attorney and hired lawyers tried to determine who will represent him. Christopher Davila, 34, who is accused of failing to seek medical care for his son and covering up his death, was transported from the jail to the courthouse. But bailiffs didn’t lead Davila into the courtroom, where several members of King’s maternal family waited. King’s maternal grandfather, Fernando Yee, expressed frustration that the hearing was delayed by legalities. He said he was hoping Davila might go on trial Wednesday. That likely won’t happen for months, if not a year. “What he did to King, he has no excuse,” Yee said. “I feel bad. I feel angry.” Yee, who was accompanied by King’s great-aunt, Maria Morales, and several friends, said he wants justice for King. Ellie Long, 15, was found hanging at her home in Greenland Avenue, Wymondham, on Sunday, December 10, 2017 and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where she died on Tuesday, December 12.Norfolk Coroner’s Court heard today (Tuesday) how Ellie had been diagnosed with anorexia and depression in August 2017.A statement from Ellie’s mother Nicki Long said she had thought at first that her daughter had just been getting into exercise and was eating three meals a day, but it later emerged she was flushing her breakfast down the toilet and throwing her lunch away at school.Mrs Long said: “She told me she had dropped to eight and a half stone and I told her that was enough.”By March 2017 Ellie’s periods had stopped and she continued to lose weight.
