(AP) — An adventure travel company that owns several destination hotels has purchased the historic Belton Chalet in Glacier National Park. Pursuit, the company formerly known as Glacier Park Inc., also owns the St. Mary Lodge and Glacier Park Lodge in Glacier park, the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada and Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish. Belton Chalet is a national historic landmark and was built in 1910 by the Great Northern Railway in West Glacier. The Upper Midwest Scuba and Adventure Travel Show is coming to Vadnais Heights April 13. The show, which features 18 exhibitors and five special speakers, shipwreck hunters, educators, underwater photographers and archaeologists, will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Jimmy’s Event Center, 3565 Labore Road. Topics include the USS Arizona, shipwrecks of Isle Royale, comparing Caribbean dive destinations and the Choctow and Ohio wrecks. Participants will see the latest in diving equipment, get information on worldwide travel dive spots and learn about maritime history.
