May 20, 2022 by www.dailymail.co.uk Leave a Comment

A Russian political science professor has claimed the war in Ukraine could simply be a 'rehearsal' for a bigger conflict, allowing Russia 's military to test and compare its firepower with that of NATO . Alexei Fenenko, an associate professor at Moscow State University's school of world politics and a research fellow at the Institute of International Security Studies, made the incredible claim yesterday during a talk show on Kremlin-controlled TV channel Russia One. 'I think the war in Ukraine... is a rehearsal for a possible larger conflict in the future. We are testing our weapons against those of NATO, we will find out how much stronger our weapons are than theirs,' the professor declared. 'It could be a good learning experience for future conflicts,' he added, before talk show host Olga Skabeyeva interjected: 'It's a scary experiment.' The outlandish statement is the latest example of the Kremlin's attempts to control the narrative surrounding its invasion of Ukraine, … [Read more...] about Putin ally says the Ukraine war is a REHEARSAL for a bigger conflict between Russia and NATO and a ‘learning experience’

A special forces war dog callously abandoned by Russian soldiers has swapped sides and is now saving Ukrainian lives. Three-year-old Max was found starving and close to death in an area which has seen some of the worst fighting since Vladimir Putin launched his invasion . The Belgian Malinois was nursed back to health and handed over to Ukrainian troops. He has been trained to understand Ukrainian and now has a new life sniffing out booby traps and unexploded mines. A member of the National Guard of Ukraine , named Dmitry, said: “From now on, Max will serve on the right side, defending Ukraine and nibbling Russian asses.” His comrade added: “Max has become a real favourite with the guards. “We can’t understand why the Russians would leave behind such as lovely animal. “Ukrainians love dogs, they regard them as part of the family.” Max belonged to Kremlin troops who had captured a village in the Mykolaiv region close to the Black Sea. IT’S Asthma Awareness Month, aimed at high-lighting how this sometimes life-threatening chronic respiratory disease can be controlled. Today, I try out air purifiers, which can help tackle pollution, while our Beauty Editor puts lip oils to the test. HEALTH: with Jane Atkinson QUIET: The Instant Air Purifier AP100 is so silent, I twice had to check it was actually switched on. It has air sensors that adjust the fan speed depending on air quality, to purify quickly. Comes in white or black and three sizes. I tried the mini. It captures 99.7 per cent of airborne allergens including dander, dust and pollen – and 99.9 per cent of viruses, bacteria and mould. With the windows closed, it really did help with my allergies. I loved the eco mode which means it turns itself off when it detects the air quality is good, before restarting itself half an hour later.
