Chaos At Chicago Airport As American Airlines Cart Goes Crazy

· October 5, 2019 ·

News : Travel There was utter chaos at Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Monday following a frightening incident. An airport catering cart, being used to deliver food to airlines including American Airlines, went completely out of control. You have to see it to believe it! Luckily, an American Airlines employee came to the rescue and saved the day with some quick thinking and driving skills. The video shows the cart’s crazy circular ride on the tarmac. It’s like something out of a comedy sketch. As the cart continues to spin, it gets closer to the nose of a nearby plane, but in the nick of time, an American Airlines employee drives another vehicle into the mental cart, causing both to crash and saving the plane and nearby employees from severe injury and damage. Even if you find the food on American Airlines horrific (you’ll be shocked to see what they currently serve in First Class), 18 Million people have enjoyed watching this airline food take its … [Read more...] about Chaos At Chicago Airport As American Airlines Cart Goes Crazy

Why Is American The First Airline To Fly Out Of New York?

· October 5, 2019 ·

News : Travel Related: American Airlines American is the first airline to fly out of New York LaGuardia in the morning, with flights scheduled to push back before 6am, even though they can’t actually take to the air before the 6am, according to thought leader in travel, View From The Wing. He says “As far as I can tell only American schedules LaGuardia departures before 6 a.m. While it’s desirable to get out ahead of other airlines to be first in the departure queue at the crowded airport, those flights push back and… wait. It’s unclear to me the benefit of pushing back more than 5 and 10 minutes early.” American apparently has two flights scheduled to depart before the 6 a.m. curfew: While he questions the benefits of push back first, American Airlines spokesperson Justin Franco says: “We set these departure times for mainly two reasons. The first one is ensure that once the curfew expires we are at the top of the queue for runway departure. … [Read more...] about Why Is American The First Airline To Fly Out Of New York?

‘My airline refused delay compensation with a nonsense excuse

· October 9, 2019 ·

Valerie Deane writes On June 10 I flew out from Heathrow to Philadelphia to visit my daughter using a ticket I had bought direct from British Airways. Unfortunately the flight suffered a five-hour delay at Heathrow followed by a further hour on arrival in Philadelphia waiting for a gate and a marshall. The delay meant I was forced to find and pay for a motel for the night before I could continue my journey to my daughter’s house. On my return I applied to British Airways for compensation but this was rejected because the operating carrier was American Airlines. British Airways customer services said it would pass my request on to American which it duly did. Now I have received a very odd response from American saying I am not eligible for compensation for my flight from Charlotte. Delta was just named the best North American airline

· October 10, 2019 ·

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines was named the best North American airline for the second year in a row. Business Traveller magazine announced the winners of its 2019 Business Traveller Awards this week, and Delta once again took top honors in the category of best North American airline. The awards recognize excellence in travel and hospitality. Innovations such as its pre-select meal program and facial recognition technology were cited as reasons for the win, according to the airline, as well as the new A330 aircraft used on select routes. The airline was the first North American airline to operate the state-of-the-art aircraft. The awards were voted on by business travelers in a survey conducted by an independent market research company, and the results were announced Monday at a ceremony in London. Last month, Delta assumed operations at all 21 gates in Logan Airport’s Terminal A. The airline, which recently designated Boston as its newest hub, said it has nearly doubled its … [Read more...] about Delta was just named the best North American airline
