Putin ally says the Ukraine war is a REHEARSAL for a bigger conflict between Russia and NATO and a ‘learning experience’

May 20, 2022 by www.dailymail.co.uk Leave a Comment

A Russian political science professor has claimed the war in Ukraine could simply be a 'rehearsal' for a bigger conflict, allowing Russia 's military to test and compare its firepower with that of NATO . Alexei Fenenko, an associate professor at Moscow State University's school of world politics and a research fellow at the Institute of International Security Studies, made the incredible claim yesterday during a talk show on Kremlin-controlled TV channel Russia One. 'I think the war in Ukraine... is a rehearsal for a possible larger conflict in the future. We are testing our weapons against those of NATO, we will find out how much stronger our weapons are than theirs,' the professor declared. 'It could be a good learning experience for future conflicts,' he added, before talk show host Olga Skabeyeva interjected: 'It's a scary experiment.' The outlandish statement is the latest example of the Kremlin's attempts to control the narrative surrounding its invasion of Ukraine, … [Read more...] about Putin ally says the Ukraine war is a REHEARSAL for a bigger conflict between Russia and NATO and a ‘learning experience’

May 21, 2022 by www.dailystar.co.uk Leave a Comment

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine grinds on Vladimir Putin is becoming increasingly paranoid, rarely going to his office at the Kremlin. One expert has even claimed that his behaviour has become similar to that of Adolf Hitler towards the end of the Second World War. Although the Russian president has long been very conscious of security, the invasion of Ukraine has seen his paranoia reach entirely new levels, according to Professor Mark Galeotti, the Mirror reports . Putin no longer travels regularly to his Kremlin office, preferring instead to work from the mansion located on his summer estate at Novo-Ogaryovo located west of Moscow. Professor Galeotti is a professor at the University College London School of Slavonic and East European Studies, and spoke to the Daily Mail of his view that the Russian president is descending into deepening paranoia. Prof Galeotti said: "He has his staff, his bodyguards, his team of food tasters and so on, but for months senior … [Read more...] about Petrified Putin’s ‘deepening paranoia’ is eerily similar to Hitler’s final days

The rare Tintin book that’s just sold for £61,000 – how to tell if your comics are worth thousands

September 28, 2017 by www.mirror.co.uk Leave a Comment

An incredibly rare Tintin comic book has been sold for £61,050 after sending bidders into a frenzy online. The 1943 alternative edition of the Tintin story 'L’lle Noire' (The Black Island), raked up dozens of bids - with collectors offering huge sums to secure the incredibly scarce copy. It's so rare that there are only three known copies left in the world. In fact, according to Patrick Vranken, comic book expert at auctioneers Catawiki , it's not 'just' a comic book. The album was intended to be sent to newspapers and magazines for publication ( Image: Catawiki) "The album was printed in 1943 on request of Tintin illustrator Hergé in a private circulation of only 10 pieces, meant for newspapers who could use it for publication," he said. "However, the book in the auction was never sent, but was later used by Hergé as a working document to prepare a modern version of the original book. Instead of being sent to reporters, the album was stored in Hergé’s … [Read more...] about The rare Tintin book that’s just sold for £61,000 – how to tell if your comics are worth thousands

Royal Family helps Ukrainian refugees find homes — including on Queen’s Balmoral estate

THE Royal Family is helping Ukrainian refugees find safe homes in Britain — including on the Queen’s Balmoral estate. The royals have opened the doors to some of the thousands of properties they own or manage across the country. But the refugees have not been moved into palaces or with the royals because of “security implications”. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “All royal households have been involved in helping find accommodation for refugees.” Senior Buckingham Palace sources refuse to reveal where any Ukrainian refugees are housed to protect their identity and security. The Crown Estates owns 7,936 properties and businesses in England and Wales and the royals’ move comes as 50,000 Ukrainians have arrived in the UK. Hundreds of others of Putin's top military parachutists, including Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky, fell within the first three weeks of the war, too. Taras Kuzio, an expert at the Henry Jackson Society security think tank, said the unpredicted failure is stalling Moscow's invasion plans. Tucker Carlson: The White House approves gasoline shortage, it’s their Green New Deal

close Video Tucker: Biden's making a mess of US economy 'Tucker Carlson Tonight' host examines rising gas and commodity prices and the mainstream media's coverage NEW You can now listen to Fox News articles! There are a lot of unprecedented things happening, but not all of them are shocking. For example, it probably shouldn’t surprise you that, once they got their hands on real power, the same lunatics who don’t believe in human biology immediately made a serious mess of our economy. It took them less than six months to do it. First, they acted like the U.S. dollar had no value. They spent money like they’d just printed it for the occasion, which, needless to say, they had. Predictably, we wound up with frightening levels of inflation, which for the record they still deny exists. But inflation does exist, as you well know if you live here. Corn prices, to name just one example of a staple commodity that’s now out of control, have risen by 50 percent just … [Read more...] about Tucker Carlson: The White House approves gasoline shortage, it’s their Green New Deal
