A SAVVY homeowner has revealed how she rented the upstairs of her house to pay off her mortgage, which has divided opinion online. TikToker @vay.namae filmed the short clip exposing her housing hack, which has gone viral on social media . In the video, the US woman started by re-enacting a common scenario where her friends asked her how much she paid to live in the home. In which, she later replied: "I pay $100 a month to live here." Vayna said her repayments on the house always left people gobsmacked. But she later revealed she intentionally bought the large property so she could rent out the separate living areas to make her money back.
