The grotesque bottles show the nazi leader in a variety of poses and salutes and include slogans like “Mein Führer”, “Sieg Heil” and “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer”. TIKTOK has become a place where many beauty trends take off - and a big one recently is eyebrow lamination. Eyebrow lamination involves the “perming” of eyebrow hairs to provide a fuller, more even look. After having seen a stream of fellow beauty lovers getting their brows laminated, TikTok user ‘ Honestasfcarla ’ decided to give the viral trend a go. But Carla was horrified when she had an allergic reaction to the treatment, and was left with not only scabbing, weeping and red eyebrows, but a very swollen face too. Carla took to social media to share her eyebrow lamination reaction and to warn other beauty fans of the importance of having a patch test prior to any treatment. She explained that as a result of the incident and the horror reaction, she thinks her “salon treatment days are over”. Eight police officers killed in Sierra Leone during anti-government protests, minister says

August 11, 2022 by edition.cnn.com Leave a Comment

(CNN) Eight police officers were killed during violent anti-government protests in Sierra Leone on Wednesday, the country's youth minister told CNN on Thursday. The officers, six men and two women, were "brutalized" and killed in the area where the protests held on Wednesday, youth minister Mohamed Orman Bangura said. Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of the capital Freetown on Wednesday, protesting inflation and the rising cost of living in the West African country. The protests grew violent at times. Graphic images and video of battered and seriously injured protesters and some members of security forces could be seen on social media. Security forces were also seen firing guns at citizens. Bangura said he could not immediately confirm the number of civilians killed or injured in the violent demonstrations. What to Do in Orlando if You’re Not — We Repeat, Not — Going to Disney

August 11, 2022 by www.chron.com Leave a Comment

I live in the Orlando that tourists rarely see. Pocket-sized neighborhoods with quiet greenspaces nestled up against calm lakes. Unique pop-up art festivals, dive bars featuring underground bands and tons of grub that rivals the likes of Austin, Chicago and Denver. Not a roller coaster in sight and we like it that way. Welcome to the City Beautiful, a vibrant metropolis that shines with pride despite the looming shadow cast by the House of Mouse. Where to Stay You’ll be tempted to set up shop on International Drive, but I must implore you to steer clear of that congested artery unless chain restaurants, souvenir shops and tourist attractions are on your agenda. I-Drive is a fantastic base camp when you’re spending a week at the theme parks, but if you want the true Orlando experience, consider anything below SoDo less than optimal. The first-timer could do worse than to head from the airport straight to the Grand Bohemian . Smack dab at the end of the bar-lined … [Read more...] about What to Do in Orlando if You’re Not — We Repeat, Not — Going to Disney
