Celebrate 15 years of Rancho Bernardo Dog Park on Oct. 19
Everyone is encouraged to bring their canine companions to the Rancho Bernardo Dog Park next weekend to celebrate its 15th anniversary.The celebration will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 19 in the dog park, which is at the south end of Rancho Bernardo Community Park, 18448 W. Bernardo Drive. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and well behaved. Retractable leashes are not allowed.There will be giveaways, demonstrations, around 20 vendors, a photo booth and opportunity drawings. Refreshments will be available for purchase from a food truck plus beverage vendor.At 9:30 a.m. Dawn Celapino from Leash Your Fitness will demonstrate different exercises people can do while walking a dog. “Dawn was one of the demonstrators at our 10-year anniversary and was a huge hit,” said Robin Kaufman, Rancho Bernardo Recreation Advisory Group president and dog park liaison.At 10:30 a.m. Ballistic Racers Flyball will perform.
