BRITISH Airways pilots have already been on strike for two days this month with thousands of holidaymakers disrupted as flights are cancelled. Balpa members said another strike is planned for later this month and in November, if the row remains unresolved. Here's what we know. When are the strikes? Pilots walked out on September 9 and 10 and are planning another strike on September 27 if the row remains unresolved. Balpa union bosses are now plotting a ten-day mega strike that would cost £400million and “break” the airline in November. Captains furious at the loss of pay and travel perks despite boosting BA profits have already held two days of action — with another due in two weeks. An airline source told The Sun: “The disruption we have seen so far is nothing. The mega walkout would bring BA to its knees.” The walkouts are a disruption to 195,000 passengers, with more than 1,700 flights already cancelled. A review of British Airways Club World Business Class The British Airways Club World (Business Class) cabin is one I know very well and which, in my opinion, delivers exactly what I want on a regular basis – great service, food and drink (add extra chocolates to that) and comfort. Here is how a recent flight from London Heathrow to New York JFK went. A good travel experience does not begin when you arrive at your destination. For me, it is pretty clear – it all starts at the airport. Long-haul flights for me, are very special moments – it is code for ‘me’ time: no interruptions, time to catch up on movies and TV, bubbles and of course, continuing to believe that ‘there are no calories up in the air’, especially when it refers to chocolate. Don’t ask. Check-in The BA First Check-In area at LHR Checking in at London Heathrow’s terminal 5 is always a breeze. I call this one of my ‘spiritual places’ (it is where many travel … [Read more...] about British Airways Club World Business Class Reviewed
News Pictured above is my delightful meal in the Canopy Airport Lounge at Nice Airport in France last night. Believe it or not, I tend to eat very healthily. At the luxury hotels that I stay at, I only ever order egg white omelette for breakfast and favour Bircher muesli and fruit salads. For other meals, I bulk up on salads where I can and I never, ever eat crisps. That is until last night, when the only edible options in the lounge were crisps, stale bread and wilted cheese (oh and let’s not forget the communal jam…). Our Travel Auctions Sort Bypopularlatestending This is the worst British Airways airport lounge I have ever been in, certainly for food. It is not an official British Airways airport lounge. You can access this lounge with a Priority Pass or a Lounge Pass, but it is the lounge that you get access to if you are departing from Nice Terminal 1 on British Airways. My journey started at this delightful Canopy lounge at Nice Airport Terminal 1. This is the lounge … [Read more...] about Is Nice Airport’s British Airways Airline Lounge The Worst In The World?

The offer is for seven nights in a pool-view room at the four-star Balaia Atlantico in Albufeira. The apartment hotel is self-catered, and the booking would be for room only. However, there's also a restaurant, a bar, and shops on site. You can relax by the indoor or outdoor pools - or hire one of the resort's bikes to explore the area.
