A video of a man in China dressed as a robot from the fictional Transformers series while picking up his four-year-old nephew from kindergarten delights online viewers. The man's nephew, nicknamed Sensen, was born without a left hand, said his mother, surnamed Chen, a resident in Luohe of Henan province, central China, news site Dami Video reported. Earlier this week, the boy's uncle said he wanted to pick up Sensen from kindergarten before the summer holiday started and dressed in the Bumblebee costume as a surprise for the boy, according to Chen. He spent about 50 minutes putting on the costume which weighs about 20kg. It was a hot day and he was sweating a lot as seen in a video that showed him taking off the Bumblebee costume. "When his uncle, dressed like that, appeared outside the kindergarten to pick him up, he was totally shocked," Chen said. While Sensen held the hand of Bumblebee with his right hand to walk alongside, many children and their parents were so … [Read more...] about ‘China’s No 1 uncle’: Man dresses as Transformer to surprise his disabled nephew

China to loosen entry restrictions on US citizens, transit via 3rd country now permitted
WASHINGTON — China will loosen entry restrictions on US citizens, allowing entrance in case of transit via a third country, notices issued late on Friday (July 1) by the Chinese embassy in Washington said, relaxing rules imposed in Beijing's drive to curb Covid-19. China's "dynamic Covid-19 zero" policy, which aims to minimise the risk of infected travellers arriving from abroad, has resulted in many barriers to international travel, from restrictions on the issue and renewal of passports for Chinese citizens to tough quarantine requirements upon arrival. According to an updated policy statement, US citizens with valid negative Covid-19 test results looking to enter China may now apply for and receive a green health code for travel in from either the United States or a third country. In the past, the embassy would only grant the codes to US citizens flying directly from the US. China has loosened the same restrictions recently for citizens of other countries. How US could lose war with China in a WEEK as every ‘simulation’ shows it being crushed over Taiwan
AMERICA faces defeat by China in a war over Taiwan in just a week and needs to “urgently” up its preparations, a leading expert has said. The chilling warning from Oriana Skylar Mastro, an authority on China’s military and US Air Force strategist, comes after years of simulations showing crushing defeats for America. China regards Taiwan as part of its territory and has vowed unification with the mainland, by force if necessary, while Joe Biden recently promised the US will defend the island. Taiwan is effectively an independent country, though not recognised by the internationally, but any moves towards full independence will almost certainly lead to war. Should that happen, Skylar Mastro outlined what she called “a worst case scenario and the one that’s hardest for the United States to deal with”. And down the years simulations have shown the US facing defeat in a war with China - with some war games showing Beijing "running rings" around them. Inside China’s secret slaughterhouse where stolen pets are blowtorched and their remains fed to other dogs on death row
LIFELESS bodies lay strewn across the blood-and-urine-drenched floor next to a tank filled with crimson-coloured water – it was nothing short of a crime scene. This is one of many secret slaughterhouses where dogs were being beaten to death , blowtorched and butchered in preparation for the Yulin Dog Meat Festival . The annual event in China , which is used to celebrate the summer solstice, is responsible for the deaths of up to 10,000 canines every year . But the barbarism witnessed by animal rights activists in 2022, far surpasses anything of the horrors they have seen previously. “Those b******s aren’t human,” Mr Zhao, who’s spent seven years with British charity NoToDogMeat , told The Sun. More than 200 terrified dogs were found in four cramped cages and another four had even more at the slaughterhouse in Baoji, Shaanxi Province. Taiwan could become next Ukraine as China may invade unless Britain protects it, Liz Truss warns
LIZ Truss has admitted that Britain must protect Taiwan now to avoid the small island falling prey to evil Chinese takeover ambitions. Like Ukraine, for years Taiwan has faced the threat of its giant authoritarian neighbour launching an invasion. The Foreign Secretary is currently in Madrid, where she is meeting world leaders at the NATO summit. Speaking from Spain, Ms Truss told LBC: “We need to learn the lessons of Ukraine, which is that we could have ensured that Ukraine had the defensive capability earlier and that would’ve done more to deter Putin from invading.” The UK has strong ties with China, like it did with Russia before Vladimir Putin went mad and launched a war. The Queen and Canada: A love story that’s still going strong after all these years
January 28, 2022 - 18:03 GMT Her Majesty marks her 70th anniversary on the throne on February 6 This piece originally appeared in Issue 803/804 of HELLO! Canada For most Canadians, the Queen is the only monarch we’ve ever known. We've looked up to her with admiration and affection and warmly embraced her on every one of her 23 tours of our country. It’s a love that's strongly reciprocated: she's visited our fair nation more than any other country outside the U.K., and while she may never again grace us with her presence in person, the memories of her past visits will stay with us forever. A fellow Canadian " She doesn ' t come across as being a visitor from a foreign country; she's one of us," says Robert Finch , dominion chairman of the Monarchist League of Canada. "In the speeches she's made on Canadian soil, she is speaking as Queen of Canada, a fellow Canadian" – as evidenced in 2010, when, upon arrival in … [Read more...] about The Queen and Canada: A love story that’s still going strong after all these years
