A mother of two who breastfeeds her eldest child even though he's five-years-old has hit back at cruel trolls - who branded her an abuser. Lauren McLeod, 29, had her first child, Bowie, in August 2017 and breastfed him as a baby - initially planning to stop when he turned two. But when Bowie reach that age he showed no signs of wanting to give up breastfeeding so the mum continued - even after she had her daughter, Tiger Lily, now two, in May 2020. Lauren spoke out previously and said she'd only stop breastfeeding her eldest son when he wants to , but she was met with a barrage of hurtful comments online as people said it was 'gross' or 'abusive' for her to still feed her son in that way. The suspect in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles that killed a 13-year-old boy and his baby brother has been arrested and charged with murder, police announced Thursday, capping a weeks-long investigation that spanned two states. The crash occurred Jan. 9 after the driver of a Mercedes-Benz blew through a red light at Main Street and 111th Place in Broadway-Manchester, smashing into the car driven by Deborah Amaya, who was taking her children to their grandmother, police said. Remains of a man found in a Cumbrian cave are 11,000 years old, making him Britain's oldest northerner, scientists say. The man was laid to rest in Heaning Wood Bone Cave in Great Urswick, just after Britain thawed following the last Ice Age. It's believed he was buried with jewellery, a fragment of which was found in the complex. The site was first excavated in 1958 and is now one of the earliest identified locations of a human presence in the north of England. Kendall Platt, 36, has been forced to continue breastfeeding her youngest child, Elora, who is now eight months old, despite experiencing issues when doing so with her first child, Arwen, now 4. As inflation rises, affecting the price of everything from formula to nappies, the mum has been left worrying about the future.
