Patients who are disliked by their doctors could be receiving worse medical care than others, an emergency physician revealed Thursday. Dr. Joan Naidorf, who has nearly 30 years of experience on wards in Alexandria, She warned that when they don't like someone this could harm care, with doctors avoiding seeing them or failing to listen when they explain their symptoms, risking a wrong diagnosis. Writing in the Washington Post , Naidorf mentioned a case where even she'd avoided a female drug-user who was 'in agony' because they would regularly sign out against clinical advice and refuse to fill out prescriptions. She called for further research into the impact of doctors disliking patients, warning it's normally ignored because medics are meant to treat all patients equally. Now NHS midwives are told that sex is ‘ASSIGNED’ at birth: Royal college’s ‘inclusivity’ memo sparks fury among medics
Midwives have today denounced claims they 'assign' the sex of children at birth in the latest row on woke language in the NHS . The wording came from the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in an 'inclusivity' statement. Their document said: 'We recognise maternity and gynaecological services will be accessed by women, gender diverse individuals and people whose gender identity does not align with the sex they were assigned at birth.' But some midwives hit back at the colleges, arguing that they merely 'observe' the reality of a baby's sex at birth — as opposed to deciding it themselves. Jo Gould, a midwife in Sussex, said she was 'ashamed' of her representative body and that the statement was 'nonsense' and 'offensive'. 'When the RCM start using the language of gender ideology and not biological fact, how can the public have faith in you?,' she said. 'It is offensive to your members, who do not "assign sex at … [Read more...] about Now NHS midwives are told that sex is ‘ASSIGNED’ at birth: Royal college’s ‘inclusivity’ memo sparks fury among medics

Britain should offer abortions to American women for FREE in wake of Roe v Wade ruling, doctors say
Britain should offer free abortions to American women who can no longer get them legally, UK doctors have said. The British Medical Association (BMA) has agreed to lobby the Government on the issue following the US supreme court 's decision to overturn the Roe v Wade ruling. That highly controversial move ends American women's legal right to have abortions and leaves it up to individual states to decide if they are lawful. Foreign patients are able to have abortions in the UK currently but can be charged up to £1,500, depending on how far along a woman is in her pregnancy. But in an emergency debate yesterday, the BMA voted to lobby for free abortions for all nationalities. Of the 80,000 women who receive abortions from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) each year, 4,000 are international patients. Seven US states have already banned abortions in the wake of the landmark decision last week.
