Nigel Farage ‘is plotting ANOTHER comeback as leader of reborn Ukip once Henry Bolton goes’
NIGEL FARAGE is plotting to return as head of a revamped Ukip, it was reported today. The former party leader has reportedly hatched a plan with Henry Bolton to take over for a fourth time. He wants to sweep back into power - but only once Mr Bolton has cleared out most of Ukip's senior officials, it is claimed. The Mail on Sunday reported Mr Farage could change the party's name, and turn it into a vehicle to promote hard Brexit. Next month Mr Bolton, 54, faces a vote of no confidence from Ukip members, after the party's executive committee voted to remove him as leader. He lost the support of most party officials after refusing to break off ties with his racist ex-girlfriend Jo Marney, 25. If he wins the vote, he will apparently use his mandate to reform Ukip entirely with the support of Mr Farage. Mr Bolton will then quit and hand power back to Mr Farage, who has three previous stints as party leader. He would be given a senior role in return for giving up … [Read more...] about Nigel Farage ‘is plotting ANOTHER comeback as leader of reborn Ukip once Henry Bolton goes’

Brits would see £200 slashed from energy bills a year under Rishi Sunak’s plans to cancel out price rises
EX-Chancellor Rishi Sunak has set out plans to tackle the cost of living crisis including abolishing VAT on energy, which would see every household see £200 knocked off their bills. He said he was prepared to find up to £10 billion to soften the impact of this October’s price rise on top of the support announced by the Government in May. Mr Sunak attacked rival PM hopeful Liz Truss for her refusal to set out detailed plans beyond cutting green levies. He told The Times: “You can’t heat your home with hope." Rishi's plan comes as fresh analysis predicted that energy bills could top £5,000 next year, more than £200 above previous estimates. Ms Truss has insisted detailed plans must wait until an emergency budget next month - but her camp has acknowledged she will need to give direct support to the poorest households. Nurse strikes are inevitable unless the government offers NHS staff more cash, warns union
NURSE strikes are inevitable unless the government offers NHS staff more cash, the UK’s top union has warned. Early ballot results from the Royal College of Nursing in Scotland show nine out of 10 members voted to reject ministers’ pay rise offer. It is a clear warning that a historic walkout could go ahead after nurses in England and Wales vote in September. Union bosses , who are rallying members to back a strike, want a pay rise of at least 16.8 per cent – up from Whitehall’s current offer of around five per cent. General secretary Pat Cullen said: “This is the clearest signal yet that industrial action is on the cards this year.
