The indictment says the utility repeatedly violated the federal Pipeline Safety Act, which mandates that operators maintain accurate records about their gas pipes, identify risks to lines and inspect or test when pipe pressures exceed the legal maximum. John Denver’s all-denim ski suit is back — and so are many Colorado museums
Rather by surprise, History Colorado found itself at the center of protests against police violence and racism after Memorial Day, given its flagship museum’s location in downtown’s Civic Center Cultural Complex — just steps from the Denver Art Museum and the Colorado State Capitol. But the institution has embraced this moment in history , collecting artifacts of the protests even as dozens of volunteers worked to remove graffiti and trash from the exterior. The family couldn’t afford to pay for a hotel or another place to stay. But as the flood soaked the fields where Garcia’s mother picks strawberries, Garcia, 18, knew he had to leave his family and return to school and work in Watsonville. Since he left three days ago, Garcia has returned to his high school, worked after school at a butcher’s shop and applied for a job at a local pizza shop. At night, he sleeps in his car at a park in Watsonville. “It’s hard,” Garcia said. “No one is going to have money … [Read more...] about Flooded out but resilient: Pajaro residents who stayed behind face mounting challenges

Earlier this week, KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri told journalists that Gazalba was named as a suspect of financial crime after the antigraft body traced the justice’s financial transactions. It was discovered that he was allegedly layering the bribe money, concealing it and spending it to purchase assets. Ali said the KPK would continue to trace the flow of funds in corruption cases and prioritize charging graft suspects with money laundering so that state losses are recovered. “This is so that asset recovery may run optimally and would offer a deterrent … [Read more...] about KPK charges justice with money laundering, gratification
