THE QUEEN's attended her star-studded Platinum Jubilee show in Windsor last night - signalling the start of a month of celebrations. The monarch raised the nation’s spirits last night as she appeared at what was the first major event to mark her 70th anniversary on the throne, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration on ITV . The theatrical arena event took place in the grounds of Windsor Castle where a number of stars took to the stage. Her Majesty , 96, put her health woes behind her as she stepped nimbly and unaided out of a Range Rover on to the red carpet at Windsor. She used a walking stick but looked relaxed and at ease and was given a round of applause by the audience. A ROYAL expert claims Harry & Meghan will take a backseat during the Platnum Jubilee as it's "about the Queen and NOT drama". The Duke and Duchess say they will return for the four-day party marking the Queen’s 70 years on the throne , and bring their children, next month. But after a friend claimed the couple told the Queen they never wanted to be on the Buckingham Palace balcony, one royal expert says they will step away from the limelight altogether. Christine Ross, co-host of the Royally Us podcast, claims the Sussexes will keep a low profile and only attend “private celebrations” to honor Her Majesty. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working royals over two years ago and moved to the US. The couple have since signed multi-million deals with the likes of Netflix and Spotify while making controversial allegations against the Firm. Harry has been particularly stinging about his own father, but author Tina Brown says the Prince of Wales will need his youngest son, 37, and daughter-in-law, 40, in the coming years.
