Total has agreed to buy a 37.4 per cent stake in India's Adani Gas, the two firms said Monday (Oct 14), with the French giant spending US$600 million to expand its access to the energy-hungry country. The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline has remained at $2.73 a gallon over the past two weeks.Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday that within the average, prices in more than half of the cities surveyed fell by several cents while prices mostly rose in cities on the West Coast.She says the attack on Saudi Arabia’s key oil processing facility last month had no effect on gas prices.The price at the pump is 24 cents lower than it was a year ago. The highest average price in the nation is $4.20 a gallon in San Francisco. BOSTON (AP) — A gas explosion and fire at a Boston apartment building has displaced about 150 people. Fire officials say no injuries were reported at the 40-unit residential building in the Mattapan neighborhood. The explosion and fire were reported early Saturday afternoon. Authorities say there’s about $200,000 in damage. The cause is under investigation. All residents of the building were kept out of their homes overnight.
