Puppies abandoned in car outside supermarket for ‘at least 24 hours’
Two puppies have been rescued after being abandoned in a car in a supermarket car park. Concerns were raised about the puppies who were shut inside a crate in the back of a car parked in the car park at Tesco in Caterham. RSPCA animal rescue officer, Chloe Wilson said: “People were concerned about the puppies who’d been shut inside the car which had been left unattended for some time. “Witnesses say the car had been there since the previous day so we believe they may have been inside for at least 24 hours. “Local vets were able to attend and get the puppies out via a partially open window and took them to their clinic to check them over. Vet urges owners to check their dog’s poo and shares what it should look like
We would all love it if our pets could talk and tell us if they're not feeling well - but unfortunately this isn't the case. Surprisingly, the best way to find out more about your pooch's wellbeing is through their poo. New research by Butternut Box reveals that 53 per cent of owners report their dog having a sensitive stomach, meaning digestibility has never been more important. Luckily, one of the nation's favourite on-screen vets, Dr Bolu Eso, is on hand to help educate the nation. Dr Bolu says: "A dog's poo can be surprisingly insightful into the overall health of our four-legged friends, so however off-putting it may be, it's important to monitor and observe their poo. "By making sure they're able to fully digest their food, your pet pooch will be able to benefit from all of the key nutrients that will help them to live a long and happy life." 126 dogs rescued from slaughterhouse where stolen pets are blowtorched for meat
German shepherds, Labradors , huskies and golden retrievers are among 126 dogs found alive at a slaughterhouse in China. Animal activists and local authorities worked together in a remarkable rescue operation to close down an illegal butchers where dogs were being killed for meat. Inside they found a gruesome scene with dead dogs on the floor, pools of blood, dehairing machines and knives. The activists also reported that processed dog meat was found at the facility on July 1. A pile of collars was left in the corner of the room, disturbing proof that pet dogs - likely stolen from homes, streets and farms many miles away - are all too often being butchered. "I spent a lot of time in my private clinic practice and due to that, the two of them spent a lot of time alone. "I searched for quite a while before I found a house that I liked (had a big lawn) and ended up buying it. It's in a very tiny neighbourhood in my city and quite a calm one which is always great."
