In early June I took my rescued dog Rosa on holiday for the first time, well not in this country anyway! After initially being a little apprehensive about how everything was going to work out (will I get all the documents needed in time, could she potentially overheat on the ferry crossing, will we run out of gravy bones, the list goes on..), but after a bit of preparation the 10-day driving trip to France worked out amazingly. In fact it went even better than that, the famously laid-back lifestyle in France worked its magic on my otherwise slightly over excitable dog, the sun shone, the vineyards glistened, the dog friendly hotels were extremely welcoming to both of us and we both found it hard to prise ourselves away from the truly beautiful country. Although when researching for the trip I found that although here in the UK we’re most definitely a nation of dog lovers (with a quarter of British households now owning dogs), only 5% of these households take advantage of the … [Read more...] about How to travel to Europe with a dog – a complete guide!
Kimberly Palmer, NerdWallet Published 9:18 am, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 This article was first published on NerdWallet.com. Just like athleisure clothing, which incorporates exercise wear into everyday life, athleisure travel mixes exercise with your vacation. Europe has many amazing countries that have iconic cities all connected by a great rail system, in fact, one of the best in the world, and a fantastic Eurail Pass system to get you moving around smoothly. Train travel in Europe is a classic experience that you shouldn’t miss despite the uprise of budget airline carrier. By using the train, you can easily jump from one major city to the next without having to arrive early at an airport and spend time commuting from outside the city. In our opinion, the biggest perk to using trains in Europe is that you tend to leave and arrive to the center of the city, saving hours of commute time, waiting in lines and waiting for luggage. Having a Eurail pass allowed us to discover the Europe many only dream about. This Eurail pass guide is jam packed with useful information that I wish we had known before using our Eurail passes for two months in Europe. This is one of the only Eurail guides on the Web that has been written by … [Read more...] about Ultimate Guide to Eurail Pass Train Travel in Europe
Party time in Bucharest. This is where the city comes alive. Seriously, one of our favourite things to experience is the Bucharest nightlife. As one of the lesser travelled Eastern European countries, Romania holds a special little place that you can come to party harder and party for less. Bucharest is still mostly unspoiled by the groups of hen and stag parties that swarm into other European capitals to take advantage of the great nightlife in Bucharest and currency exchange rate. It also means that girls in Bucharest can celebrate special occasions cheaper than going to its neighboring countries. We found really cheap London to Bucharest flights and jumped at the chance to spend the weekend with girlfriends, but a great place to travel solo as well. Is Bucharest Safe? Absolutely. That shouldn’t even a question that you’re asking. If this is your first time heading to the Romanian capital, allow us to pull together a quick Bucharest nightlife guide to make your time … [Read more...] about Guide: Nightlife in Bucharest, Romania
