Halloween-themed pool activities, games and a movie are planned for the city of Carlsbad’s Pumpkin Plunge at 5 p.m. Oct. 19 at Alga Norte Aquatic Center, 6565 Alicante Road. The swimming pool will become a floating pumpkin patch where each child can get a pumpkin to take home. Highlights include diving for treasures, collecting bones and catching mutant fish.
