He cited a Senate hearing held on Wednesday, which revealed an alarming truth that during the Academic Year 2021-2022, a total of 404 young students across the country took their own lives while 2,147 others attempted to do so when most schools were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A woman lives with a huge dent on the left side of her head which was carved out to allow her to survive a one-in-a-million form of skin cancer . Barbora Hájková, 38, made it through a gruelling eight-hour operation that removed a 9x12cm chunk of her skull to save her from a tumour. Doctors told the woman, from Strasnice, Prague, Czech Republic, that the tumour was so rare it had only been recorded growing in six cases worldwide in the same area as it was found in Barbora's head. Following the operation, Barbora now lives a full and cancer-free life with part of her head missing. Barbora before the operation ( Image: mediadrumimages/@baruhajkova) When Barbora's partner programmer and photographer Ilja, 41, first spotted a lump on the side of her head, she dismissed his concerns that her face seemed to have changed. June 26, 2019 by www.denverpost.com Leave a Comment

Colorado will soon be 5,000 health care apprenticeships richer after receiving $12 million from the U.S. Department of Labor. The program, announced by Gov. Jared Polis on Wednesday, is hoping to enroll 5,000 adults, ages 18 and older, into paid apprenticeships in the health care field. No details were revealed as to how interested people can apply for the apprenticeships. “In this ‘earn while you learn’ model, individuals will earn college credit, make a livable wage and gain valuable work experience, reducing out-of-pocket costs for education and the time required to earn a credential,” the governor’s office said in a news release. Health care partners across the state also are kicking in $4.2 million in matching funds to get the ball rolling. The Colorado Department of Higher Education is partnering with the Colorado Community College System and health care groups including Kaiser Permanente, Centura Health, HealthOne/HCA, UCHealth and Colorado Rural Health Center. “At … [Read more...] about Colorado seeks 5,000 adults for health care apprenticeships, thanks to $12 million federal award

As a result some former Islanders, including Shaughna Phillips and Ellie Brown , have admitted their weight yoyo-ed before and after the ITV2 show . Now series two bombshell Rachel Fenton, 30, admits she too felt pressure to look a certain way, and even risked her health to get what she deemed to be the 'perfect body'. Speaking to The Sun, she confesses she starved herself and followed a strict exercise regime, all while working gruelling 13-hour shifts as an NHS nurse. When she left the villa and put some weight back on, she says she was horrified when photos of her in a bikini on holiday with Rykard Jenkins - her boyfriend at the time - attracted cruel comments. She says: “I just went back to eating normally and I was obviously going out a lot, drinking alcohol.
