But the reason Sally Arathoon, 47, was talking louder than most is because she has a rare condition, with one symptom of her disease being deafness. A WETHERSPOONS punter claims staff accused her of being drunk and slurring her words - without realising she's deaf. Sally Arathoon, 47, says a bartender "refused" to serve her a second alcoholic drink and a coffee for her husband Scott. The staff member accused her of "speaking too loudly" and claimed she was drunk at the Wheatsheaf Wetherspoon in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Scott and Sally had gone into the pub for a drink after Scott's mum's funeral. Sally has rare Ménière's disease - affecting the inner ear - meaning she lost 55 percent of her hearing, dad-of-three Scott said.
