Tranquil gardens, a stunning private beach and your own pool "pavillion" – even a single weekend at Amanruya is well worth the four-hour flight from London. Where is it? Officially in Bodrum, but Amanruya is a world away from the sprawling all-inclusive resorts and buzzing bar strips of the town itself, which is working hard to shake its slightly downmarket reputation. In true Aman style, the hotel is calm sophistication, perched on a quiet hillside on the northern side of the Mandalya Bay – but close enough to the action that day trips to the bustling capital of the peninsula are more than possible, although it’s highly unlikely you’ll want to leave. It’s perfect for short-hops, from the airport it’s a speedy 30 minute drive along a winding coastal road to the resort. Trust me: memories of the stag and hen do filled budget flights will drift into oblivion the moment you arrive and witness the staggering views over the Aegean. Carlisle Airport, meanwhile, is expected to welcome passenger flights for the first time in decades from September - another welcome sign for those who’d rather not … [Read more...] about The renaissance of Britain’s regional airports – and the curious destinations they now serve

YouTube channel!! I’ve obsessed with watching YouTube for a while but I’d always been nervous to start my own channel, partly because it would require learning a whole new set of skills and take up a lot of time but mostly because it’s scary to put yourself out there and YouTube can be pretty brutal. Trust me I’ve read some of the comments that my favourite YouTubers get! On my channel you can expect hotel tours, travel vlogs and vlogs about my life in London as well as chatty tips and inspirational travel ideas. I’d love it if you would subscribe and please tell me if there’s any particular content that you’d like to see. Here’s my most popular video so far!! Bear with me as I’m still learning editing skills and getting used to being in front of the camera! Elsewhere on the ‘net, my blog was named No.3 Luxury Travel Blog by Vuelio, the PR industry’s most powerful database. Honestly, you see blogger rankings all the time … [Read more...] about Monthly Round Up: April Antics and my new YouTube channel!!!
Party time in Bucharest. This is where the city comes alive. Seriously, one of our favourite things to experience is the Bucharest nightlife. As one of the lesser travelled Eastern European countries, Romania holds a special little place that you can come to party harder and party for less. Bucharest is still mostly unspoiled by the groups of hen and stag parties that swarm into other European capitals to take advantage of the great nightlife in Bucharest and currency exchange rate. It also means that girls in Bucharest can celebrate special occasions cheaper than going to its neighboring countries. We found really cheap London to Bucharest flights and jumped at the chance to spend the weekend with girlfriends, but a great place to travel solo as well. Is Bucharest Safe? Absolutely. That shouldn’t even a question that you’re asking. If this is your first time heading to the Romanian capital, allow us to pull together a quick Bucharest nightlife guide to make your time … [Read more...] about Guide: Nightlife in Bucharest, Romania
