Girl, two, dies after being rushed to hospital as man and woman charged with murder
A MAN and woman have been charged with murder after a two-year-old girl died. Police today confirmed the pair had been charged after the tot was rushed to hospital with injuries, and tragically died two days later. The horror unfolded in May 2020 and Jan Gholami, 32, and Roqia Ghulami, 31, were last week charged with urder and causing or allowing the death of a child and child neglect. Cops said: "On 27 May 2020 a two-year-old girl was admitted to a local hospital with injuries before she was transferred to a London hospital where she died on 29 May. "Upon her arrival at hospital concerns were raised to Kent Police and two people were arrested. "Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate subsequently launched an investigation. Carlton Palmer was kept in hospital after his 'heart played up' whilst he was running a half marathon. The ex-Sheffield Wednesday striker was participating in the Sheffield half marathon along with his wife Lucy Palmer to raise money for their charity, Cavendish Cancer Care, on Saturday. Palmer was in a buoyant mood before the race and revealed he was looking forward to raising money for those who have been affected by the illness. He also quipped that he was eagerly anticipating, "the finish line", when asked by a reporter. But the former England international had to be rushed to hospital, where he was kept overnight, after the race when his heart started playing up on the first mile. Western Colorado gunfight in Montrose leaves sheriff’s deputy uninjured and suspect hospitalized
A gunfight Sunday night in Montrose left a suspect hospitalized in serious condition and a sheriff’s deputy uninjured. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is expected to review the shooting. The deputy was responding to a call of a disturbance shortly before 6 p.m. by people in a home where the disturbance was happening. Upon arrival, the deputy faced gunfire, Montrose County Sheriff Gene Lillard said. “The guy came out from behind the house and started shooting at the deputy.” The deputy returned fire “and incapacitated the suspect,” Lillard said. “The suspect went down. The deputy was not hit. His Tahoe received a lot of damage.” The suspected was recovering in the Montrose Regional Hospital, listed in “serious but stable” condition.
