Europe’s top 9 private jet airports

· October 13, 2019 ·

By Vickie Clark on Oct 13, 2019 in Air Travel, France, Italy, Regions, Speciality Travel, Switzerland, United Kingdom Private jets have access to over 3,000 airports in Europe, but which airports are most popular with private jet users? We look at the busiest airports in Europe based on the number of movements (landing and take-offs) throughout the year by private jet. Although Paris Le Bourget is top of the list with the most private jet movements last year, London, has 3 private jet hubs in the top 9 with a combined total of over 73,000 movements making it the busiest city in Europe for private jet travel. 1. Paris Le Bourget Le Bourget Airport is Paris’ dedicated private jet airport and the busiest business aviation airport in Europe. The airport is located approx. 20 minutes’ drive from the city centre. Due to the airport being exclusive to private jets only, it is classed as one of the fastest airports in respect of taxi and take-off times. Airport code: LFLB, LBG 2. … [Read more...] about Europe’s top 9 private jet airports

Smart Travel Hacks that Prove to be Cost-Effective

· October 10, 2019 ·

October 10, 2019 by Jean Holy Smithereens Leave a Comment One of the earliest life skills that I’ve learned the hard way is to work smarter, not harder. And can be applied to almost any aspect in life that you may face, including travel. Whenever we see people seemingly Insta-travelling 24/7, it can be tempting to assume that they must be fortunate to have endless resource and luxury to do so. Ok, maybe 10 percent of them genuinely do, but I know that you can live a life of travel without having to be an heiress or a travel influencer. And E-visa Express seems to think so too, that’s why we’re sharing a very useful infographic for those who wish to travel smarter. Travelling definitely does not have to be expensive, and travelling smarter doesn’t always mean travelling on the cheap or choosing the least expensive option. It’s a learned skill that you can get used to when you travel very often. In my many years of travelling, I must say that there are … [Read more...] about Smart Travel Hacks that Prove to be Cost-Effective

Lux Hotel Review: Belmond La Residencia, Mallorca

· October 7, 2019 ·

Looking for luxury Majorca Holidays? Belmond La Residencia in Deia is one of Mallorca’s leading hotels On this trip, I discovered one of the most special hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at: the stunning Belmond La Residencia. My love for Mallorca is very well documented in this blog. It is an island I have visited over 20 times (I kid you not) and I try to make a special effort to return every year. Why? Because I still feel I haven’t scratched its surface – there is always something more to see or do (or not do at all) in the largest of Spain’s Balearic Islands. The hotel is very well known, as it was previously owned by Richard Branson. It is located in Deia, in the north-west coast of Mallorca (around 45 mins from Palma de Mallorca, the island’s capital). This little town is very special as it is a UNESCO World Heritage village, at the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range. As you can probably gather, the setting is quite … [Read more...] about Lux Hotel Review: Belmond La Residencia, Mallorca

A long dance winding to a close at legendary ballroom

· October 10, 2019 ·

That’s no longer a concern. Not on this night, nor or any Wednesday night, when Moseley’s opens its riverside doors for weekly dancing on its mammoth maple floor. The same ballroom that once featured the bands of Guy Lombardo, Harry James, and Les Brown is slow-waltzing toward its last dance. “I’m going week to week,” DeVincenzo said with a wish-it-weren’t-so shake of his head. “The dances aren’t going that well.” DeVincenzo, 58, said he has no plans to close Moseley’s and does fine with private events such as weddings and banquets. But the dances that once made this ballroom a magnet for couples — and for singles looking to become couples — have fallen victim to changing times, an aging clientele, and competition from private dance studios. “If I get 50 people, that’s a big crowd,” DeVincenzo said. “These people don’t have a lot of places like this to go anymore.” Even a … [Read more...] about A long dance winding to a close at legendary ballroom

5 takeaways from the Patriots’ 35-14 win over the Giants

· October 10, 2019 ·

COMMENTARY Five takeaways from the Patriots’ 35-14 win over the Giants, which moves Bill Belichick’s team to 6-0 on the season … CLOSER THAN IT SHOULD’VE BEEN The Giants calling timeout with 2:40 to play in the first half, with the Patriots facing a manageable third down near midfield, said a lot about the state of New England’s offense. At that stage, New York had confidence it could thwart a conversion — and if not, that they’d quell the drive soon after. To that point, the Pats had held the ball for almost 34 of the game’s 51 minutes, or twice as long as the Giants. They’d intercepted Daniel Jones three times, and allowed the Giants to convert on only two third downs. They’d opened the scoring for the evening by returning a blocked punt for a touchdown. And yet their lead was just 21-14. Kyle Van Noy’s 22-yard fumble return padded that by seven more points on the possession that followed, and so in the end the … [Read more...] about 5 takeaways from the Patriots’ 35-14 win over the Giants
