Deputy PM and FM Minh meets Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox At the meeting, Secretary Fox appreciated Viet Nam’s role in the Asia-Pacific, and expressed the wish to maintain and expand economic-trade relations with Viet Nam. He affirmed that in its Global Britain strategy announced in 2017, the UK gives priority to enhancing economic cooperation with important partners, including Viet Nam. In turn, Deputy PM Minh said he believed Brexit would not create negative impacts on the trade-investment ties between Viet Nam and the UK. $11B worth of Michigan imports face tariffs

Three percent, or $3.8 billion, worth of the state’s $108 billion export business, including iron and steel, ships and boats and glassware, are also at risk. The biggest impact has already been enforced on aluminum, iron and steel products, affecting nearly $6.6 billion worth or 71 percent of the total volume coming into Michigan's main ports of entry, according to U.S. Census Bureau data from 2017.
