With China lifting more travel restrictions after optimizing its COVID-19 response, many travelers have booked flights for long-awaited overseas trips. On March 15, the nation began allowing travel agencies and online tourism service providers to offer group tours to a second list of 40 destinations, including France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Denmark and Brazil. On Feb 6, it announced a pilot program to resume group travel to 20 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Maldives, Singapore, Egypt, Kenya, Switzerland and New Zealand. Huge blow for ‘UK Disneyland’ theme park as it calls in administrators
THE huge theme park which was dubbed the "UK's Disneyland" has been forced to call in administrators after racking up huge debts. The London Resort first announced plans to build a huge £3.5billion theme park back in 2019 . The six-land theme park hoped to open by 2024 on the Swanscombe Peninsula near Dartford in Kent across 535 acres. However, it has since run into a number of problems since the plans were submitted. This included Natural England’s decision to designate the land as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) after a number of rare species were confirmed to be in the area, including a tiny 1cm jumping spider. Another complication included a new freeport at Tilbury which meant moving one of the ferry terminals from Tilbury to Grays. Taiwan Plans To Offer $165 Per-Visitor To Spend Time There
(CTN NEWS) – Taiwan – Destinations are doing everything they can to entice travelers to come and support their economies as travel picks up speed but soaring airfares are making long-haul flights challenging for many. The most recent is Taiwan, which intends to provide visitors with $165 apiece to spend time there. Also, tour groups will be given cash incentives to entice them to visit the island. The government of Taiwan plans to welcome six million tourists in 2023, double that number in 2024, and strive for ten million visitors by 2025, according to Premier Chen Chien-announcement Jen’s on Thursday. They will also give 500,000 individual tourists handouts of NT$5,000 ($165) as a sweetener. Ninety thousand tour groups will also receive payments of up to NT$20,000 ($658) each.
