THE huge theme park which was dubbed the "UK's Disneyland" has been forced to call in administrators after racking up huge debts. The London Resort first announced plans to build a huge £3.5billion theme park back in 2019 . The six-land theme park hoped to open by 2024 on the Swanscombe Peninsula near Dartford in Kent across 535 acres. However, it has since run into a number of problems since the plans were submitted. This included Natural England’s decision to designate the land as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) after a number of rare species were confirmed to be in the area, including a tiny 1cm jumping spider. Another complication included a new freeport at Tilbury which meant moving one of the ferry terminals from Tilbury to Grays. Dinosaur theme park set to sue rival attraction after they ‘ripped off their slogan’
A DINOSAUR theme park is in a roar of words with a rival attraction over slogans. Bosses at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure claim Totally Roarsome has made money by ripping off its branding. Norfolk Dinosaur Park Ltd, which runs Roarr! has brought a High Court legal claim against Roarsome’s West Yorkshire -based parent company Totally Attractions. Roarr! says it registered the wording Roarr-some in 2021 to cover all dinosaur -themed amusement parks, education and entertainment services. But Totally Attractions, which has parks in Cheshire and Yorkshire , has also sold merchandise using the name Roarsome, the claim says. Norfolk Dinosaur Park is seeking to sue them, saying they used a name that is highly similar without consent. The largest source of stolen guns? Parked cars.
By Richard Fausset , The New York Times NASHVILLE, Tenn. — On a Sunday in January 2022, a Glock 9 mm pistol, serial number AFDN559, disappeared from a Dodge Charger parked near a midtown Nashville bank after someone smashed in the rear driver’s side window. Ten months later, Nashville police officers arrested three teenagers suspected in a series of shootings and discovered a cache of weapons in a nearby apartment. Among them was AFDN559. Forensic analysts would later tie the Glock to three shootings, including an attack in August that wounded four youths and another that wounded a 17-year-old girl in September. In a country awash with guns, with more firearms than people, the parked car — or in many cases, the parked pickup truck — has become a new flashpoint in the debates over how and whether to regulate gun safety. There is little question about the scope of the problem. A report issued in May by the gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety analyzed FBI crime data … [Read more...] about The largest source of stolen guns? Parked cars.
Rishi Sunak is whacking Keir Starmer all over the park and revived jaded Tory appetite for battle
“RISHI is doing brilliantly,” a senior Tory MP told me last night. “He’s knocking Keir Starmer all over the park. “Who knows, we might be heading for an October General Election. Why wait until we run out of time?” Considering the turmoil of recent months, this would be a remarkably upbeat assessment of Tory fortunes by any rent-a-quote Government lackey. But it is especially telling, coming from one of the 22 diehard Brexit rebels who defied the whips and voted against the PM last week. The overwhelming Commons backing for the PM’s EU deal on Northern Ireland was “a sensational victory”, added this ex-Cabinet minister. Phu Chi Fa National Park Chief Makes Appeal for Visitors to Stop Littering
CHIANG RAI – The winter season at Mount Phu Chi Fa in Chiang Rai’s Toeng district is attracting thousands of visitors coming to see the seas of mist, most spectacularly seen as the morning dawns. But unfortunately, a lot of visitors bring along coffee and food in foam containers and leave the trash scattered around, said Sanit Homnan, chief of Phu Chi Fa National Park. Sanit said currently 1,500 to 2,000 tourists were on the mountaintop every morning and 5,000 in all throughout the day. Sanit said the last number could rise to 20,000 closer to year-end. The temperature on Friday was 11 to 15 degrees Celsius at various spots on the slopes. But he appealed to tourists to not bring food or drinks in foam and plastic containers, which are too often discarded because visitors are tired after climbing 700 metres. He recommended they finish their breakfast before heading up the mountain. … [Read more...] about Phu Chi Fa National Park Chief Makes Appeal for Visitors to Stop Littering
