HUMZA Yousaf has been elected as the next leader of the SNP after a fiery five-week contest. The Health Secretary saw off Finance Secretary Kate Forbes and former community safety minister Ash Regan in their bid to replace Nicola Sturgeon. Ms Sturgeon announced in February that she would resign after more than eight years in the job once her successor has been chosen. Mr Yousaf will become Scotland's youngest First Minister and also the first ever person from a minority ethnic background to hold the post. March 27, 2023 - 16:02 BST Endeavour actor Shaun Evans has appeared in many brilliant TV shows over the years including one which also starred a couple of A-Listers… Shaun Evans is perhaps best-known and loved for his role as iconic television detective Endeavour Morse which recently aired its final series – but the actor has been in plenty of other brilliant TV dramas and films that fans may have forgotten about. In 2009, the star appeared in a supporting role alongside Hollywood A-Listers Tom Hardy and Brian Cox in the mini-series adaption of Martina Cole's crime novel, The Take . The four-part drama, which aired on Sky1 at the time, saw Tom lead the cast as Freddie Jackson, while Shaun played his younger cousin, Jimmy. Nearly half of parents in low-income households have skipped meals so their children don't go hungry. A poll of 1,000 low-income households found 47 per cent are now experiencing more financial pressure to feed the family compared to six months ago. As a result, 61 per cent admitted they are likely to go hungry so their children don’t have to. Of those, 37 per cent aren’t able to afford a full food shop to feed the whole family. Parents have also chosen to make larger portions for their children than themselves (46 per cent), given children half their meal (39 per cent) – or even skipped meals entirely (44 per cent).
