Disgraced former NBC "Today" host Matt Lauer has finally sold his Hamptons home, according to the New York Post . The estate was last on the market in 2021 for $43,995,000. The final sale price has yet to be made public. Lauer, who was fired from his job at NBC after accusations of sexual misconduct came to light, bought the property in 2016 for a reported $36.5 million from actor Richard Gere . Although Lauer paid a sky-high amount, Gere had initially sought $65 million for the Sag Harbor, NY, spread. After his split from wife Annette Roque , Lauer listed the luxe property in June 2019 for $44.8 million. The waterfront residence was relisted in fall 2019 for $43.99 million.
