David Bauder Associated Press Published 4:58 PM EDT Aug 29, 2019 New York – The one constant with President Donald Trump’s increasingly frequent attacks on Fox News has been the network’s refusal to respond, even as the president complains that “Fox isn’t working for us anymore.” In recent days, however, some Fox personalities like Bret Baier, Juan Williams and Brit Hume have ceased looking the other way. Fox is stocked with pro-Trump commentators like Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro and Laura Ingraham, and the president is a frequent viewer. He speaks up when he sees things that displease him, with news anchor Shepard Smith, White House correspondent John Roberts, commentator Williams, contributor Donna Brazile and network pollsters all targeted this summer. He groused Wednesday that news anchor Sandra Smith offered “zero pushback” in an interview with Democratic communications director Xochitl Hinojosa. David Bauder, Ap Media Writer Updated 12:51 pm PDT, Wednesday, July 3, 2019 FILE - In this Oct. 16, 2017 file photo, MSNBC television anchor Rachel Maddow, moderates a panel at a forum called "Perspectives on National Security," at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, on the campus of Harvard University, in Cambridge, Mass. During her turn as moderator in last week's 2020 Democratic primary debates, Maddow briefly scuffled with Bernie Sanders and, with Pete Buttigieg, induced the campaign rarity of a politician admitting to a failure. The right balance! Shawn Johnson and her husband, Andrew East, are expecting their first child, which means the Olympian has had to adjust her workout routine.“I’ve been trying to stay as normal as possible, but I don’t have nearly as much energy,” the gymnast, 27, tells Us Weekly exclusively in the new issue. “I’ve been trying to get in at least a few workouts a week.”She adds: “I’m really lucky and have a doctor who really encourages being active. She’s like, ‘Yeah. Work out, run, lift, do CrossFit, just keep your body healthy.’ But on the days where I don’t feel like it, I just need to sleep all day, but otherwise I’ve been going to CrossFit, I’ve been running.”See more of Shawn over the years: 83 PHOTOS Shawn Johnson over the years See Gallery Shawn Johnson over the years WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - NOVEMBER 13: Gymnast Shawn Johnson poses for a portrait during the Athlete … [Read more...] about Mom-to-be Shawn Johnson makes surprising reveal about her baby
Mark Kennedy AP Entertainment Writer Published 2:41 PM EST Feb 7, 2019 New York – Joy Behar and ABC were silent Thursday after an old photo resurfaced of “The View” co-host using makeup to darken her skin for a Halloween costume, the latest flashpoint in a series of blackface scandals making national headlines. The 76-year-old didn’t mention the clip on Thursday’s show, one day after an editor for the entertainment website The Wrap tweeted the three-year-old segment of Behar discussing a resurgence of curly hair. During the 2016 segment, Behar displayed a 1970s-era photo of herself at a Halloween party when she was 29. She says that the hair was her own and that she had dressed as a “beautiful African woman.” Co-host Raven-Symone asked whether she had on tanning lotion. Behar, an outspoken liberal, said she wore makeup “that was a little bit darker than my skin.” Messages seeking comment were not returned from Behar’s … [Read more...] about ‘The View’ host Behar under fire for blackface photo
