Distraught Rachael Ashworth found her 22-year-old son Josh lying face down in a ditch just after 7am on April 23 last year. Josh had been walking home the previous night along the A52 near Grantham, Lincs, at around 9.30pm when he was struck by a BMW driven at “over 60mph” by disqualified driver Cole Tressider. A SAVVY homeowner has revealed how she rented the upstairs of her house to pay off her mortgage, which has divided opinion online. TikToker @vay.namae filmed the short clip exposing her housing hack, which has gone viral on social media . In the video, the US woman started by re-enacting a common scenario where her friends asked her how much she paid to live in the home. In which, she later replied: "I pay $100 a month to live here." Vayna said her repayments on the house always left people gobsmacked. But she later revealed she intentionally bought the large property so she could rent out the separate living areas to make her money back. Fed up residents of the "most flooded town in the UK" expect their homes to be completely underwater in the years to come, as water once again causes havoc. Cornwall Live reported last year that the lovely seaside town of Looe is "known for" its propensity to flood, so much so that climate scientists predict that, in about a century, several parts of the town will be lost to the sea. Just this week, 'high spring tides' caused chaos in Looe yet again, forcing road closures and a flurry of flood warnings. A TOURIST who almost died after a violent mugging on holiday in Britain spent the next four years in hospital and had 65 operations to rebuild his shattered skull. Ben Finlan, from Toronto in Canada , suffered multiple skull fractures and brain bleeds after he was mugged outside a bar in central London - with his attackers still at large today. Medics told Ben's family to fly from Canada to London immediately, as they were unsure whether he would survive the night. Part of his skull was removed in an emergency brain decompression surgery to save his life - but the titanium mesh it was replaced with became infected, leading to more life-threatening complications. Ben's family and his girlfriend Katherine Smith moved to London to be with him during his four-year recovery in hospital following the brutal attack on December 3, 2018.
