Staff and wire reports Published 11:29 AM EDT Apr 10, 2019 Richard Wershe Jr. will be staying behind bars longer than he had hoped. A Florida clemency board has denied an early prison release for the man known as “White Boy Rick,” once one of the FBI’s youngest informants and the subject of a recent Hollywood movie. The Florida Department of Corrections now lists his release date as Oct. 26, 2020. That’s earlier than the Nov. 25, 2020, release date announced late last year. All we know for certain about boofing is that it is distasteful and stupid. As was 2018. In spades. What made this year so awful? Instead, we’ll cite one event that, while minor, epitomizes 2018: the debut of Dr. Pimple Popper. This is a cable-TV reality show featuring high-definition slo-mo close-up videos of a California dermatologist performing seriously disgusting procedures on individuals with zits the size of mature cantaloupes. You might ask, … [Read more...] about Dave Barry’s year in review: Good riddance to 2018!
