Netflix is stepping outside its film and reality TV show endeavors to show it's got the gumption to give folks wings. The Bay Area -based streaming giant posted a job opening for a flight attendant last week, which, like the budgets for some Netflix series, offered a stunning salary for potential applicants. Per the now-removed job posting, a Netflix flight attendant is projected to make between $60,000 and $385,000 a year. The description is still visible on a Google-hosted job board , which says the job is based out of the San Jose International Airport and the flight attendant would work primarily on a super-midsize jet. Royal magic is waning, but it is still the best option
WHEN I was younger, big royal events came along only once in a blue moon. We had the Silver Jubilee in 1977 and Charles and Diana’s wedding in 1981 then after that, nothing. There was more monarchy-based pageantry in North Korea. Now, though, it feels like we are breaking out the bunting and the plastic flags every other weekend. It’s a constant stream of weddings, funerals and jubilees. And it’s not over yet because in May, there’s a Coronation . It must be a nightmare for the organisers, because how do they make it feel different? And bigger. And better. Fly-pasts down the Mall? Done that. Put Brian May on the roof of the Palace? Done that as well. Soldiers marching up and down? Been doing that for centuries. Whatever they come up with, though, it’d better be good. Because I have a sneaking feeling there won’t be another Coronation after this one. It’ll be the last. Boy, 7, mauled by mountain lion in park as urgent search launched to find wild cat
A seven-year-old boy was attacked from behind by a mountain lion as he walked through a park. The boy was making his way up a set of stairs at the Pico Canyon Park in Santa Clarita, California, when the wild animal pounced and bit him on the backside. The Department of Parks and Recreation in Los Angeles County have now closed the park and as an investigation begins. As part of the investigation, the boy's wounds have been swabbed for DNA to see if they could match it to a known wild cat in the area. Capt. Patrick Foy from the California Fish and Wildlife Department said: "The young boy -- about 7-year-old boy -- was walking up some stairs and was attacked from behind by a mountain lion and bitten in the buttocks." The boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery after receiving hospital treatment.
