Shortly after the Detroit Red Wings drafted him at sixth overall in the draft on Friday, Seider received a phone call from Dylan Larkin. “I was so excited,” Seider said Tuesday as the Wings began a five-day development camp at Little Caesars Arena. “I didn’t know what I had to say. It was really cool.” While Larkin called Seider, another Red Wings first-round pick was busy taking the advice of general manager Steve Yzerman and Googled the German defenseman. “Seider is a real good defenseman,” Veleno said. “I’ve seen a couple of his clips and he moves well, skates well.” Seider is already 6-foot-3 and 208 pounds. The crust, Jet’s says, bakes up thin and crispy and can be topped with any premium topping including those on their specialty pizzas.
