PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — It was love at first sight. As one all too accustomed to America’s obsession with a standardized urban design — every other block decorated with a Rite Aid, Panera, Starbucks and McDonald’s — Portsmouth came as a breath … no, make that a gust of fresh air. This port city on the Piscataqua River and just a few miles from New Hampshire’s only stretch of coastline, seems tailor-made for a dripping-with-New England-atmosphere TV series: “Murder, She Wrote’s” Cabot Cove without the murders, “Gilmore Girls’ ” Stars Hollow without the melodrama or “Dawson’s Creek’s” Capeside without the teen angst. Why do I need to know Oh là là? Any caricature of the French involves someone saying Oh là là and the best thing about this cliché is that it's actually true. This is used to express admiration, almost in the same way we anglophone girls of a certain age use the phrase 'Oh my … [Read more...] about French Word of the Day: Oh là là

With the addition of quarterback Shea Patterson, an overhaul of the offensive staff, the addition of strength coach Ben Herbert, and a consistently top-ranked defense engineered by coordinator Don Brown, are all the pieces in place for a championship-level run? “Oh, yeah. Good chance? Sure. Good one,” Harbaugh said after the win at Rutgers. “Just keep preparing, keep focusing, keep taking it one game at a time and see how good we can get.” Michigan is No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings, and at 9-1 overall and 7-0 Big Ten, is atop the East Division.
