Who is Brenda Blethyn? Brenda Anne Blethyn, OBE was born on February 20, 1946 in Ramsgate, Kent . She is an English actress, who has worked in theatre, television, and film. Brenda originally trained at a technical college, and worked as a stenographer and bookkeeper for a bank. In the 70s, she turned her hobby of amateur dramatics into a professional career and, after studying at the Guildford School of Acting, she went onto the London stage in 1976, performing several seasons at the Royal National Theatre. Click here to read the full article. Filmmaker Kenneth Karlstadt has conjured a chaotic coming of age story, “Kids In Crime,” for Norway’s TV2. The writer-director grew the project out from his well received short, “The Hunger,” into eight short episodes. It’s a format hoped to attract younger audiences aged 16-22, who are surrounded by many alternative forms of entertainment through social media, games, and streamers. It is unclear how well this strategy worked, but the show proved to be one of 2022’s most successful shows for TV2, according to Brede Havland, producer for Einar Film Drama. It has also been nominated for the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize 2023 . ‘A Thousand and One’ wins Sundance grand jury prize

This year’s winners were announced at an awards ceremony Friday afternoon in Park City, Utah, which included an audience prize for the documentary “ 20 Days in Mariupol.” Writer Jeremy O. Harris, filmmaker Eliza Hittman and actor Marlee Matlin judged the U.S. dramatic competition.
