Netflix is stepping outside its film and reality TV show endeavors to show it's got the gumption to give folks wings. The Bay Area -based streaming giant posted a job opening for a flight attendant last week, which, like the budgets for some Netflix series, offered a stunning salary for potential applicants. Per the now-removed job posting, a Netflix flight attendant is projected to make between $60,000 and $385,000 a year. The description is still visible on a Google-hosted job board , which says the job is based out of the San Jose International Airport and the flight attendant would work primarily on a super-midsize jet. Barclays announces closure of 15 branches across UK – see if your bank is affected
Barclays has announced the closure of 15 branches across the country - meaning over 100 banks are going to shut down so far this year. The bank is set to close 14 branches across England and one in Wales from late April to the first few days on May. Sites in London, Gosport, Bridgwater and St Helens are among those shutting down over just a few days. Barclays has already announced 15 closures earlier this month. It comes days after NatWest said it is closing 23 branches, and over a week since Lloyds Banking Group said it is shutting 40 Halifax and Lloyds sites. At the time the company blamed footfall, which has been rapidly decreasing since the onset of online banking and dropped further during the pandemic. AT the corner of two rubbish-strewn streets, which are dotted with boarded-up houses, sits a two-bedroom apartment which is currently on sale for just £1,000. Locals will tell you it's overpriced. This is Hartlepool , the North East town which has been confirmed as Britain's bargain basement rental capital . Mike Lupica: If Aaron Rodgers leaves the Packers, the Jets need to be all in
When we’re discussing the quarterback position with the Jets, which we almost always are, who’s going and who might be coming and which mistake they might be about to make with one in the draft, it is always best to reference the wisdom of Larry David, lifelong Jets fan, on this subject: “They would have found a way to screw up Mahomes.” Now comes the hot conversation about Aaron Rodgers, No. 12 of the Packers, who may really be leaving Green Bay this time, and whether or not the Jets should pay a king’s ransom, in money and draft choices, to get him, even though he’s 39. Well, of course they should, because Rodgers, even at 39, would be the best they’ve ever had, and that includes Joe Namath, their No. 12, the iconic Hall of Fame quarterback who won them their one and only Super Bowl, but who also threw more career interceptions than touchdown passes. Joe didn’t come close to having the kind of seasons that Rodgers has had in Green Bay. No Jets quarterback ever did, including … [Read more...] about Mike Lupica: If Aaron Rodgers leaves the Packers, the Jets need to be all in

Brooks, 19, was allegedly raped in a car on Jan. 15 and left on the side of a busy highway about 3.5 miles from Reggie's bar in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana , according to court documents. Her death shined a lot on a decades-old crime problem inside and around Tigerland, a sparsely lit, party hotspot for LSU students that's populated by several bars, mini-marts, a liquor store and a smoke shop. California mass shooting: Gunman Huu Can Tran didn’t know Monterey Park dance hall victims, sheriff says
close Video Former Sheriff Villanueva: Did one California mass shooting motivate the other? Former Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva reacts to mass shootings in Monterey Park and Half Moon Bay on 'Fox News @ Night.' Huu Can Tran, the 72-year-old gunman who killed 11 people Saturday night inside a ballroom dance hall in Monterey Park, California, had no known relationship to the victims and a motive for the massacre during Lunar New Year celebrations was still unclear, investigators said Wednesday. Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna told reporters that Tran had not been to the Star Ballroom Dance Studio in the past five years and didn’t appear to specifically target the victims. "We have not been able to establish a connection between the suspect and any of the victims thus far," Luna said. Tran took time to reload as he sprayed at least 42 bullets on a mostly elderly crowd of dancers at the dance hall, killing 11 people … [Read more...] about California mass shooting: Gunman Huu Can Tran didn’t know Monterey Park dance hall victims, sheriff says

Click here to read the full article. Even before Hyosan High becomes ground zero for the world’s zombie outbreak in All of Us Are Dead , its teen inhabitants are struggling to survive. Severe bullying, threats of suicide, wealth inequality and a suffocating pressure to succeed make Hyosan High — and Korean society — a kind of hell . “In some countries, they’re more sad when adults die than when kids die. And in other countries they are sadder when kids die. Which do you think our country is?” asks one All of Us Are Dead teen during a down moment between zombie attacks. Yeah, this show is bleak — but, looking around at the state of our world, why wouldn’t it be? All of Us Are Dead is also very popular. A year after its debut, the Korean-language series sits at number 11 on Netflix ’s list of most-watched TV shows . The K-drama’s global success no doubt has something to do with the popularity of the zombie genre, but it also seems tied to its central theme: the … [Read more...] about ‘All of Us Are Dead’ Remains Netflix’s Most Damning Success
