The royal baby is coming! With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle getting ready to welcome their first baby together, ET is looking back at the ins and out of royal protocol when it comes to delivering royal babies.Past RoyalsThroughout the history of English monarchy, the norms and practices surrounding childbirth have varied greatly, but one thing had remained constant until just over 60 years ago: royal expectant fathers were not in the room when their wives gave birth. However, that doesn't mean the mothers were afforded a modicum of privacy -- it was quite the opposite. In the 16th and 17th centuries, royal births were witnessed by possibly hundreds of onlookers, due to mounting concerns over the progeny being kidnapped or switched at birth. We’re not 100 percent sure what “boofing” is, despite the fact that this very issue was discussed in a hearing of the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. All we know for certain about boofing is that it is distasteful and stupid. As was 2018. In spades. What made this year so awful? This is a cable-TV reality show featuring high-definition slo-mo close-up videos of a California dermatologist performing seriously disgusting procedures on individuals with zits the size of mature cantaloupes. Is it conceivable that Prince Harry’s American bride really didn’t charm his grandmother with her friendly, down-to-earth personality or their shared love of dogs? Two different sources coming out this week paint Meghan, 37, as a bridezilla in the lead-up to her May 19 wedding, with one source alleging she demanded to wear a particular tiara from the queen’s collection. In fact, the source said, Meghan’s demands became so irksome that the monarch had to have words with Harry and tell him, “Meghan cannot have whatever she wants. She gets what tiara she’s given by me.” The bridezilla portrait begins with a new book by reporter Robert Johnson, which reveals … [Read more...] about The Meghan Markle bridezilla report: Tiara demand annoyed Queen Elizabeth
