Perkins: Dolphins second- and third-round draft picks get passing grade, but team needs more wow factor
When you peruse a list of the Dolphins’ second- and third-round picks during the past 10 years, it becomes a bit more clear why the franchise has hovered around the .500 mark for most of that time. Overall, it’s been an average to slightly above average crew, just as the Dolphins have been during that stretch. There hasn’t been enough of a wow factor among those selections. The Dolphins, whose first three picks in the April 27-29 draft are a second-rounder and a pair of third-rounders, need to hit on at least one starter among those picks, and it’d be nice if one of the other two was a regular contributor from scrimmage. Finding such players is among the Dolphins’ many tasks at this week’s Senior Bowl practices at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala., and Saturday’s Senior Bowl game. Unofficial exchange points sold the greenback at VND23,560, up 0.15% from Thursday. Vietcombank’s exchange rate remained stable at VND23,620. The dollar remained unchanged at Eximbank at VND23,580. Techcombank also maintained its rate at VND23,620. The State Bank of Vietnam lowered its reference rate by 0.01% to VND23,606. The dollar has decreased by 0.46% against the dong since the beginning of the year. The euro and sterling slipped against the dollar on Friday as markets took a dovish cue from policymakers at the European Central Bank and the Bank of England, who said inflationary pressures in their economies have become more manageable, Reuters reported. The pound slid 0.15% to a more than two-week low of $1.2206 in early Asia trade, after falling 1.2% in the previous session, its largest daily decline in a month.
