A MAN was left stunned after finding a rare £2 coin worth a staggering amount - here's how to check if you have a secret fortune. Sharing his find on popular social media site TikTok, the collector revealed that he had stumbled upon a rare version of the coin worth far above it's original value. The lucky find in question was the 2017 Royal Mint First World War Aviation coin that was not put in general circulation. And the priceless find is worth far more than its face value of two quid. According to listings on sites such as eBay, the coin can go for as much as £29.99. But sellers should remember that the price of the coin varies when the currency is in mint condition. Officially called Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), the comet made its nearest approach to Earth in the early hours of February 1, around 42 million kilometres (26 million miles) away from Earth. These are just a few of the most “unusually common” mammals spotted across different Bay Area cities, according to the Chronicle’s analysis of data from iNaturalist , a social network that allows naturalists and amateur “citizen scientists” to identify and map species across the world. To come up with the most unusually common animals observed in each city, The Chronicle downloaded more than 500,000 individual iNaturalist sightings made in the Bay Area over the past three years. We defined whether a species was unusually common by looking at its sightings as a share of all sightings of its taxon (i.e. mammals or birds) in each city, and how that compared to the share of sightings of that species in the Bay Area as a whole. California wildlife officials on Wednesday were still searching for the mountain lion that attacked a young boy in San Mateo County on Tuesday night and left him hospitalized. The 5-year-old boy along with his mother and grandfather were walking on Tunitas Creek Road in an unincorporated section of the county when the boy was attacked and “taken to the ground,” wildlife officials said. The boy was reportedly walking a bit ahead of his family around 6:50 p.m. when he was attacked by the mountain lion. The animal was biting into him the entire time, wildlife officials said. “The attack was very, very vicious in nature,” said Capt. Patrick Foy from state’s Department of Fish and Wildlife. The boy’s mother charged at the lion, Foy said. As she approached, the animal released the boy. Foy said the mother scooped up her son and got him to safety before calling 911.
