A professional cuddler who charges people for hugs and earns £75 an hour has started hosting 'cuddle parties' - where people can snuggle in groups. Trevor Hooton, 30, who goes by 'Treasure', set up their cuddle therapy business in May 2022 and now business is booming. Treasure, from Bristol, charges £30 a session for a 'cuddle party' through his company, Embrace Connections, and encourages people "to explore and enjoy non-sexual physical connection in a safe, structured environment". Treasure explained what they offer is "more than just a hug" - it's about "pouring care, affection and goodwill into someone through touch" - but admits that not everyone understand the business, as some think it is sex work.
