My very own travel hacks We all have our personal travel hacks – meaning, shortcuts – that we value and are sometimes surprised that others really do not know about them. I have a (mental) checklist of sorts (it isn’t perfect and I sometimes do not do things by the book) which I would like to share with you. Here are my 5 travel hacks that I hope will improve your travel experience – they certainly help mine! Pre-book airport transfers Uber is a great idea, but if you have tried hailing one at a major airport, you know what I am talking about. I have recently tried it at JFK and didn’t realise it would be me and another 100+ passengers (I kid you not) looking for their own uber. It wasn’t pretty. I have used Blacklane 5 or 6 times (and will continue to do so) and love its simplicity. My experiences with US airlines, in general, have been mixed. I can’t bear those internal flights in the super tiny planes where everyone appears to have brought the maximum hand luggage allowed on board. I have tended to avoid US airlines when it has come to Business and Premium due to my low expectations. My last premium economy experience in British Airways had not really been all that premium but I had had an excellent experience with Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy so I was curious to see what was ahead!US airlines have recently been doing some major investment in premium economy and both Delta and United have relatively new premium economy offers which I plan to try out! New restaurant on tap at MSP This summer at Minneapolis-St. Paul International, it's bye-bye Chili's, hello Stone Arch, a restaurant showcasing Minnesota craft beers.
