THE world’s top 100 beaches have been named – and there’s are two British beaches on the list. The annual list is put together by Flight Network and is decided by 1,000 different travel professionals looking at seven continents and 165 countries across the world. The Giant’s Causeway is an number 41 on the list – for understandable reasons. Formed from 40,000 hexagonal-shaped pillars, the beach's rock formations date back almost 60million years and is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gregory D. McCluney, a travel writer and judge, said: “Fantastic rock formations; no people, clean, brown sand and clear waters.” The second UK beach in the top 100 is Wales’ Three Cliffs is on the list in 98th place and scored highly for its sheer untouched beauty, gaining 8/10. The Hanoitimes - Online travel company TravelBird has released its annual 2018 Beach Price Index, which breaks down the daily expenses of a beach holiday at 327 seaside locations in 90 different countries. Vietnam came in first for cheapest beach holidays, while the world’s most expensive ones are found in the Pacific region and Italy, according to TravelBird, a Netherland-based travel company. Cua Dai beach. The study reveals the prices at 327 of the most popular beaches from over 90 countries, based on local tourism board numbers and data from the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The three cheapest beaches in Vietnam include Cua Dai beach in Hoi An (Quang Nam province) with US$15 for all six items, city beach in Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province) with US$16 for all six items, Long beach in Phu Quoc island (Kien Giang province) with US$18 for all six items. Iguana Beach, Crete Lucky Haniá has two lovely, clean, amenitied town beaches, 4km west at the end of a frequent urban bus line. They’re separated by a headland, with a third, westerly cape graced by the little Church of the Holy Apostles, which lends its name to the area.
