The adventures of Willow Ufgood will not continue on Disney Plus , with the streaming service canceling the Willow prequel series. The eight-episode season - set decades after the original 1988 movie starring Warwick Davis , Val Kilmer and Joanne Whaley - debuted in late December and concluded in mid-January. The series brought back Davis, 53, as Willow Ufgood, who leads a new group of misfits on a perilous journey. The series also made headlines last April when Talisa Garcia was cast, making her the first trans actress to be cast in a LucasFilm production. The news comes just days after Disney CEO Bob Iger said they were carefully reassessing the film slate from LucasFilm, including the future of the Star Wars franchise. BBC show saved after shock axe as it’s bought back for new series and spin off
REALITY show FBoy Island has been picked up by a new broadcaster - after being axed. The American dating show, which has aired its first two seasons on BBC iPlayer, is now due to air on CW in the US. FBoy Island , hosted by Nikki Glaser , hit our screens in 2021 on HBO . The programme was later renewed for a second season and aired in July last year, however HBO later cancelled the series. Now, according to Deadline , viewers will watch the third instalment on The CW, and will be treated to a spin-off show called FGirl Island. The show is good news for UK fans, who are able to watch it on iPlayer, but it has not been confirmed when the new series will be out.
