News : Travel Related: American Airlines American is the first airline to fly out of New York LaGuardia in the morning, with flights scheduled to push back before 6am, even though they can’t actually take to the air before the 6am, according to thought leader in travel, View From The Wing. He says “As far as I can tell only American schedules LaGuardia departures before 6 a.m. While it’s desirable to get out ahead of other airlines to be first in the departure queue at the crowded airport, those flights push back and… wait. It’s unclear to me the benefit of pushing back more than 5 and 10 minutes early.” American apparently has two flights scheduled to depart before the 6 a.m. curfew: While he questions the benefits of push back first, American Airlines spokesperson Justin Franco says: “We set these departure times for mainly two reasons. The first one is ensure that once the curfew expires we are at the top of the queue for runway departure. … [Read more...] about Why Is American The First Airline To Fly Out Of New York?

United Airlines extends schedule without grounded Boeing Max
CHICAGO — United Airlines is the third and final U.S. airline to give up plans to return a grounded Boeing plane to service this year. United said Friday it will keep its Boeing 737 Max jets out of its schedule until Jan. 6, about three weeks longer than previously planned. Without the planes, United says it will cancel nearly 8,300 flights from October through early January. American and Southwest already pushed the plane's earliest return into January. Those are the only other U.S. airlines that operated the Max before it was grounded in March after crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia killed 346 people. By acting months in advance, the airlines are removing the risk that their schedules around Christmas and New Year's could be scrambled by the absence of the Max. … [Read more...] about United Airlines extends schedule without grounded Boeing Max

I was not paid to attend and was not under contractual obligation to write this blog post or create content on any platform. afternoon tea at the gorgeous Oscar Wilde lounge earlier in the year. But it was last year in July (when our Oscar was just a twinkle in the eye) that I first tried the restaurant Laurent. Back then the restaurant was brand new – but I already knew I was fan of the food of Executive Chef Laurent Tourondel having tried his cuisine in Miami a few years ago. Though we were unsure about some of our food choices, we really loved the ambiance and the atmosphere at Laurent and I think it’s a great value deal too! 10 Best Personal Items for Spirit Airlines’ Baggage Limit
If you’ve ever flown with the budget carrier, you know that Spirit Airlines’ baggage limit for a personal item is uniquely small. Customers who haven’t paid the mandatory fee of $35 (online) to $65 (at the gate) for a carry-on are only allowed a personal item about the size of a tote bag, day pack, or very small duffel—under 18 x 14 x 8 inches, to be exact. It’s difficult to fit everything you need for a weekend into those dimensions, but it’s not impossible; I’ve done it many times with the help of a near-maximum (or ever-so-slightly over-the-maximum) personal item like the ones below. Related: Personal Item Luggage That Make Great Day Bags The Best Personal Items for Spirit Airlines’ Baggage Limit Here are the best bags for maximizing Spirit Airlines’ baggage allowance and avoiding a paid carry-on bag.
