A SAVVY DIY fan has been inundated with praise after revealing how she converted an old van into a tiny pink home. Samantha R Olmsted, a flight attendant for a major airline, explained how she found herself out of work in the pandemic so bought a 1999 Chevrolet van on Facebook Marketplace and transformed it into a house in just three months. Now, she's been living there for two years and has saved herself a fortune on rent. In a clip shared to the 'Tiny Home Tours' YouTube channel, she explains: "The van actually works perfectly for me because I'm flying around for probably about half of the month. "There was one month I was paying rent in New York and I think I was in that apartment only four nights for the whole month and I knew this was something I really wanted. "Anything I could ever need and want is in this van." Want to Love Your Body? Try Swimming Naked.
To hear more audio stories from publications like The New York Times, download Audm for iPhone or Android . I heard about the gay beach the way I hear about all the good gay things: Through a lover, an ex-lover, my ex-lover’s new love. A warm mouth pressed against my ear on the dance floor, a dropped pin, an Instagram D.M. The murmurs were about a queer nude beach nestled along the coast of Oaxaca. It took a full day and a half to get there, flying first into Mexico City and then catching a shorter flight toward the Pacific. When I landed, I got into a taxi with a few other folks heading to the beach. The driver looked at me sideways. “Esta es tu primera vez?” “Sí,” I replied. “Por qué Zipolite?” I hadn’t quite figured that part out yet, not enough to explain it. I shrugged. He shook his head and drove with his knees so he could use both hands to pantomime hordes of tourists attacking the dry countryside. Behind his miming, the windshield of the car was cracked in … [Read more...] about Want to Love Your Body? Try Swimming Naked.

In deep-red corner of Arizona, threat of losing water starts to outweigh fear of regulation
By Ella Nilsen , CNN Updated 0902 GMT (1702 HKT) February 4, 2023 Kingman, Arizona (CNN) Driving along county roads that are little more than dirt paths, Tim Walsh remarked that the expansive valley below the Long Mountain range used to be no more than tumbleweeds and scraggly cactuses. Now, it's pistachio trees as far as the eye can see. Far from mature, the pistachio saplings are just a few feet tall. The trees were planted for "miles and miles, clear up to the base of the mountain," said Walsh, a lifelong Kingman resident and head of Mohave County's Department of Development Services. Over the past decade, the vast desert area around the 33,000-person city of Kingman has been transformed into an agricultural enclave. Green alfalfa fields were first planted below the mountains, then eventually replaced with thirsty pistachio trees. But as those farms grow, county and city officials fear the groundwater -- their only source of water -- is not capable of supporting … [Read more...] about In deep-red corner of Arizona, threat of losing water starts to outweigh fear of regulation
GTA 6 could surprise PS5 and Xbox fans with an early release date according to rumours
GTA 6 could be released as soon as next year, if the latest rumours are anything to go by. According to popular leaker Tez2 , the "aimed-always-changing-not-set-in-stone deadline is holiday 2024"—but this could still be pushed back to 'early 2025'. Tez2's claims are supported by those from Insider's Tom Henderson, who said his own sources have told him GTA maker Rockstar has been gearing up for a 2024 release since 2021. READ NEXT: Rapper 50 Cent seemingly 'confirms' GTA 6 is on its way Meanwhile, Microsoft let slip in November that the long-awaited game 'is expected' in 2024 in a discussion with the UK government. Tez2 said that the reason the game might be pushed back to 2025 is because of some internal changes at Rockstar. They said: "I personally see an announcement as a given this year. I don't think the upper management is in a position to delay further to holiday 2025/2026. "Cutting more portions of the game to package into DLCs to release later on may … [Read more...] about GTA 6 could surprise PS5 and Xbox fans with an early release date according to rumours
Meet the ‘Chopped’ champion chef trying to throw a weed event in Napa Valley
Putting a heady twist on the age-old wisdom that you should always “eat your greens,” Bay Area chef Solomon Johnson is bringing marijuana to high-end cuisine. All of the courses at his new Cannescape event series are infused with cannabis. The Bay Area's first winner of "Chopped 420," a "Chopped" spinoff from Discovery+, Johnson cooks up food that is both delicious and pleasantly stoning — I attended the first Cannescape event at the Phoenix Hotel in San Francisco last month. The multiday events include a five-course dinner infused with cannabis, as well as an overnight stay at a premier Northern California hotel. Dr. Wilkinson’s Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs in Napa Valley is scheduled to host the next event April 20 , otherwise known as 4/20 — fitting for the "Chopped 420" champion. However, these blissed-out banquets may have already landed Johnson in some hot water. The San Francisco Department of Public Health has warned the Phoenix that the pot-infused dinner I … [Read more...] about Meet the ‘Chopped’ champion chef trying to throw a weed event in Napa Valley
